Time is drawing near to get your reservations in for our 60th Anniversary Pig Roast! The Pig Roast is a definite "GO."
We have a large tent coming to the club grounds in case of inclement weather. We also will have Porta-potties located within easy walking distance.
Our committee has gathered some terrific gift certificates, and other prizes from local businesses and restaurants that will be raffled off directly after our meal to help defray the costs of the Pig Roast.
Live music of a mixture of folk and popular tunes will be played in two sets in the afternoon. The first set will be as we eat.
A Special brief program will be held at 12:30 involving just a greeting by our President and most importantly a special presentation by our Pa Representative on this special occasion. We will strive to have the meal start promptly thereafter (no later than 1:00 PM). In order for a prompt start we ask you to try to be checked in for the celebration no later than 12:30. (Picking up your meal ticket).
After a period of about 30 minutes (1:00-1:30 or until the first serving for all ticket holders is received) we will strive to open up the line for second servings if we have leftovers.
This is the ONE TIME affair that members are allowed to BYOB (Beer and Wine only) to enjoy with your meal. We ask you to be responsible for age limits and modification of consumption. This will be strictly observed.
Most important we are attaching a former instruction sheet outlining how and when to send your application to us and the directions on picking up your meal tickets. We also are sending a copy of the application sheet for you to send with your check before the post office closes on September 2, 2022. (The Labor day holiday and the need for the head count to the caterer makes this early mailing necessary.) For any real late purchases we will be at the club on Canary Road on Sept 9, 2022. (See instruction sheet).
Two members have offered to pay for the most costly expenses (Tent & :Live Music) as well as other small items to make this a success and hopefully bring our family of outdoor people together to learn about YOUR CLUB! You get an afternoon of food and entertainment (12:00-4:00) for only $20,00 and the location is local (Not much gas cost)!
If you have any questions please call Dick Helm's landline (215-536-3939) and leave a message---I will get back with you.
