NRA BASIC RIFLE SHOOTING COURSE

This 14 hour course will teach students Rifle Knowledge and Safe Gun handling, Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting. Upon completion of the course, student will have the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to safely assume the bench rest, standing, prone, kneeling and sitting shooting positions with a rifle.

Students who complete the course and pass the test will also be eligible to attend our weekly family shooting events (for a small fee) to earn your NRA Marksmanship awards.


This program is open to the any person (public and members) age 8 and older.


The cost for this training is $75.00 and includes all books, use of club .22 rifles, bullets, snacks, drinks and lunch.

The dates of the course are Saturday November 7th and if needed Sunday November 8th!!


The course is open to the first 16 people who register and pay.

NRA Basic Pistol Course

This course will teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, you will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. Price includes: Use of club .22 caliber semi-automatic and revolver pistols. All .22 ammunition needed NRA Guide To The Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook Completion Certificate and Lunch Students may bring their own firearms, but if the firearm must be inspcted by the instructor, Only .22 caliber bullets will be provided, and NO LIVE AMMUNITION MAY ENTER THE CLASSROOOM!!

To sign up for the pistol course you must first complete phase one online at the NRA website. Phase One 


After completing phase one you can than go to the NRA Wesite and sign up for Phase two of the pistol course. 


NRA Refuse To Be A Victim®

The award-winning crime prevention and personal safety seminar, Refuse To Be A Victim®, will be conducted several times a year, at Milford Township Fish, Game and Forestry Association . Check the calendar page for upcoming dates and times. The seminar is open to the public and costs $35 to attend. Pre-registration is required. Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminars teach methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations. Experts agree the most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an overall safety strategy before you need it. Seminar topics address personal safety issues as well as home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common-sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices they may integrate into their daily lives.

Refuse To Be A Victim® was developed by the National Rifle Association in 1993 in response to nationwide requests for crime prevention seminars. Members of the law enforcement community across the country have endorsed the program. The program is appropriate for teenagers and up. With more than two thousand instructors, seminars have been held in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago. Tens of thousands of men and women have benefited from the program and its life saving message.

The cost of $35 includes the seminar, a Refuse To Be A Victim booklet, Certificate of Completion, and lunch. Seating is limited to 25 people, and is filled on a first pay basis. Please contact Chuck Hotter immediately to sign up.
